North Carolina Car Accidents
There were approximately 280,000 car accidents reported in North Carolina in 2018. These accidents take place each day on our streets and highways. More than 100,000 injuries were also reported during this same time period. Approximately 50% of all North Carolina car accidents result in injuries. The injuries sustained in crashes range from minor to severe and life-threatening and can even involve death. Sadly, those who are injured are often innocent victims who came into contact with negligent drivers.
Under North Carolina law, an injured victim or their family may have certain legal rights following the crash. Our personal injury laws allow victims to file a claim against a negligent driver to recover to certain types of compensation after the crash. This can include reimbursement for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical costs, and more. The expenses incurred following a crash can be quite high and will be overwhelming for many victims. Fortunately, there is help available.
