Greensboro, NC (August 14, 2020) – One person was killed and two others were hurt in a car accident that took place in Greensboro on Thursday, August 13th, at 9:58 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Bryan Boulevard.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, 22-year-old old Shannon Bailey Morton was traveling eastbound on Bryan Boulevard. Morton lost control of her vehicle, causing it to run off the roadway near the exit for Holden Road. Morton suffered critical injuries in the accident and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. There were two passengers inside the vehicle at the time of the accident, a 28-year-old and a 2-month-old. Both passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There is no further update on their conditions at this time. No additional details are available.
