Fayetteville, NC (August 25, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place in Fayetteville on Monday, August 24th. The incident reportedly occurred overnight on Gillespie Street near the intersection with Snowhill Road.
The Pearce’s Mill Fire Department, Cumberland County EMS, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol all responded to the crash scene. According to reports from the scene, a man was walking near the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle. The man, who has not been identified, died at the scene of the accident. The driver involved in the crash has also not been identified and there is no information if they remained at the scene when police arrived.
