North Carolina Construction Accidents
In 2019, a total of 53 people were killed in workplace accidents in our state. The construction industry is one of the most dangerous industries for workers and this industry experiences a high number of fatalities every year. Construction accidents in North Carolina often involve heavy machinery, electric shocks, negligence of machine operators, and other incidents that would be preventable through the use of ordinary care and caution. Although there are various federal and state codes regulating the construction industry, these codes are not always followed by companies or employees and the results can be catastrophic and devastating.
A construction accident claim is often very complicated and requires the assistance of an attorney who understands how the law applies to construction accidents. An attorney handling these types of cases should be familiar with the agencies that regulate construction projects and investigate construction accidents.
At Burton Law Firm, North Carolina personal injury attorney Jason M. Burton is here to help if you have been affected by a construction accident in our state. Mr. Burton has assisted injured workers and family members of these workers who have suffered due to someone else’s negligence. Victims of job-related accidents are often not at fault and workers have a valid expectation that they will be protected while on the job site. Unfortunately, far too often, these workers wind up being seriously injured or killed when someone else fails to follow a law or safety regulation and the resulting consequences are catastrophic.
We assist victims of workplace accidents throughout our state. Since 2012, Mr. Burton has helped recover more than 40 million dollars in total compensation for victims and their families. We would be honored to assist you during this difficult time.
