Durham, NC (September 29, 2020) – Police have released the identity of a man who was killed in a Durham car accident on Friday, September 25th. The crash happened around 10:00 p.m. on Holloway Street near the intersection with Lynn Road.
According to the Durham Police Department, Tara Fehl was driving a vehicle eastbound on Holloway when she collided with the front passenger side of an SUV that was driven by Victor Gonzalez. Gonzalez was attempting to make a left turn onto Lynn Road when he was struck by Fehl’s vehicle. A passenger in Gonzalez’s vehicle, 32-year-old Xavier Lee from Durham, was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. Lee later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. There is no report of other injuries at this time.
An investigation into the accident remains active. Police have not said whether they intend to issue charges against anyone involved in the crash. No further information is available.
