Pisgah Forest, NC (October 17, 2020) – Officers and rescue officials responded to the scene of a pedestrian crash in Pisgah Forest late Friday night. The accident was reported around 11:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 64 near Lyday Loop Road.
There are few details at this time regarding the crash. However, according to initial reports, a pedestrian was walking along the highway when they were struck by a tractor-trailer that was traveling on U.S. 64. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The pedestrian’s identity has not been released at this time. No other injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
