Charlotte, NC (October 25, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that took place in west Charlotte on Saturday, October 24th. The crash was reported around 4:00 p.m. on Freedom Drive, near the intersection with Pacific Street.
There are few details regarding the cause of the accident at this time. Police responded to the scene shortly after the crash occurred. When officers arrived, they located the injured motorcyclist in the roadway. He was later pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. The motorcyclist’s identity has not been released. Officers say that the motorcycle collided with a vehicle. No additional injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible. Police remained at the crash site for several hours clearing away the wreckage and conducting an investigation into the crash.
