Greenville, NC (November 15, 2020) – Police in Greenville have identified the victim of a hit-and-run bicycle crash that took place on Friday, November 13th. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on South Memorial Drive near Greenville Boulevard and Mall Drive.
According to officers, 27-year-old Kari Williams, of Winterville, was riding her bike in front of the Academy Sports and Hobby Lobby buildings when she was hit by a vehicle. The vehicle then fled the crash scene before officers could arrive. Williams suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead by officials.
Police are still searching for the vehicle that struck Williams. The car has been described as a white or tan four-door passenger vehicle with front end and windshield damage.
