Gastonia, NC (November 18, 2020) – A 57-year-old woman from Clover, South Carolina died in a pedestrian accident on Monday evening in Gastonia. The crash took place around 7:20 p.m. on Robinson Road near the intersection with Union Road.
According to police, Jo Ann Musgrave was walking along Robinson Road when she was hit by a 2017 Ford Focus. Rescue crews transported Musgrave to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the crash. The driver of the Ford Focus remained at the scene and called 911 following the accident. The driver has not been identified at this time.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. No further details are available.
