Salisbury, NC (November 30, 2020) – Police in Salisbury responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Sunday, November 29th. The crash was reported around 4:00 p.m. along Jake Alexander Boulevard near Morland Park Road.
According to the Salisbury Police Department, 34-year-old Michael Anthony Salyer was riding a 2020 Kawaski motorcycle in the left lane of Jake Alexander. At the same time, 61-year-old Paul Michael Bostian was driving a 1999 Chevrolet van in the far right lane. Bostian tried to make a U-turn from the outside lane but collided with Salyer’s motorcycle, dragging him underneath the van.
Salyer suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem. His current condition is unknown at this time. Bostian was not hurt in the accident. Police have not released any further details regarding the accident and it is not clear if any charges are expected to be filed.
