North Carolina Car Accidents
A North Carolina car accident can take place in an instant. One minute you are driving down the road minding your own business and the next you can find yourself involved in a serious accident. Each year in North Carolina, there are about 300,000 reported traffic accidents throughout the state. While this number may seem high, it demonstrates the dangers that face motorists when they are traveling on our roadways. Sadly, there is little that can be done to prevent many injuries accidents from happening and innocent motorists are affected every day by the actions of negligent drivers.
If you or a loved one have sustained injuries in a car accident in North Carolina, you are likely to have many questions about your future. This is especially true if you have lost a family member, which is one of the most devastating things that a family will ever have to go through. Each year, hundreds of innocent crash victims will lose their lives in accidents that were not their fault. As long as negligent drivers are on the roads, there will always be a risk of death or serious injury for people who are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
North Carolina’s wrongful death laws may provide some relief for family members who have lost a loved one. Under our state’s laws, you could be entitled to receive payments for loss of consortium, lost wages, funeral and medical bills, and more. While we certainly know that no amount of money will bring your loved one back, the financial compensation that you receive can help get you through a tough time as you get back on your feet after a sudden tragedy.
