Fayetteville, NC (December 30, 2020) – A 28-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash in Fayetteville on Tuesday evening. The crash was reported just before 8:00 p.m at the intersection of Bragg Boulevard and Rowan Street.
The Fayetteville Police Department responded to the crash scene and found the victim lying in the roadway. Police later identified the man as 28-year-old Neman Ahmon McNair. McNair was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers say that 37-year-old Daniel Simpson was driving the vehicle that struck McNair at the intersection. The circumstances surrounding the accident are not clear at this time as police continue to investigate. The road remained closed for several hours while officers were at the scene.
There is no additional information available at this time and no word on whether charges are expected to be filed.
