High Point, NC (December 31, 2020) –Two High Point residents suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Monday, December 28th. The accident was reported around 3:30 p.m. on Pershing Avenue, near the intersection with Ragan Avenue.
According to Officer J.M. Spoon with the High Point Police Department, Jayden Robinson was operating a vehicle on Pershing Avenue when he came to a stop sign at the intersection with Ragan Avenue. Robinson slowed his vehicle at the stop sign before proceeding into the intersection. While in the intersection, Robinson’s vehicle was struck by a car traveling in the opposite direction. The impact ejected Robinson and his passenger, Marcus LeGrande, from the vehicle. Both Robinson and LeGrande sustained serious injuries in the accident and were transported to Wake Forest Medical Center by Guilford County EMS personnel. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and has not been located at this time. Numerous witnesses saw the incident and cooperated with police following the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time. There is no additional information available.
