Greensboro, NC (January 2, 2021) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was at the scene of an injury accident involving two vehicles in Greensboro on Tuesday, December 29th. The crash was reported just before 7:00 p.m. in the westbound lanes of State Road 1112.
According to a report from Trooper C.H. Allison, Carlos Deanthony Williams, of Warsaw, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet westbound on SR 1112 when he came to a 90-degree turn in the roadway. Williams failed to properly navigate the curve and lost control of his car. As he attempted to maneuver back into the roadway, he overcorrected the vehicle and sideswiped a 2015 Buick driven by Kevin Lee Jackson of Greensboro. Williams’ vehicle continued on after the accident and struck a fire hydrant before coming to rest. Jackson’s car came to rest in the roadway about 30 feet from the point of impact.
The Guilford County EMS responded to the scene and transported Jackson to Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro for treatment of unspecified injuries. Williams was not transported following the accident. Following an investigation, Trooper Allison charged Williams with exceeding a safe speed. There is no additional information available at this time.
Our thoughts go out to Kevin Lee Jackson and we hope is able to make a complete and speedy recovery following this car accident in Greensboro.
