Lexington, NC (May 25, 2020) – A serious hit-and-run crash was reported in Lexington on Saturday, May 23rd. The crash happened at 1703 Cotton Grove Road around 9:00 p.m.
According to the Lexington Police Department, 56-year-old Lisa Swicegood Fisher was operating a vehicle when she struck a motorcyclist. Fisher fled the scene after the crash and before the police could arrive. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the unidentified motorcyclist to Wake Forest Baptist Health with serious injuries. There is no information on exactly how the crash took place at this time.
Officers later located Fisher and took her into custody. She is charged with felony hit-and-run, open container, driving while impaired, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
