Fatal Accidents in North Carolina
A North Carolina car accident can result in a devastating outcome for both the victim and their family members. According to recent statistics, there are nearly 300,000 reported car accidents in North Carolina every year. In addition, nearly 80,000 people will sustain injuries and, sadly, approximately 1,500 will lose their lives. The cause of each crash must be carefully investigated, however, the overwhelming number of car accidents in our state are the result of a negligent driver’s actions. Drivers who do not pay attention to the roadway, or are impaired or driving recklessly are much more likely to cause a serious crash that can have a catastrophic outcome. In these cases, innocent victims can lose their lives as a result of someone else’s actions.
A car accident in North Carolina can leave you feeling frustrated and hopeless. If you have lost a family member, the grief may linger for an extended period of time as you try to move forward. Knowing that your loved one was needlessly taken from you is a very difficult feeling. During this time, your focus should be on your family and your own healing and you should not need to worry about the details of a legal claim.
