High Point, NC (January 12, 2021) – Two women from High Point suffered injuries when their car was struck by another vehicle on Saturday, January 9th. The crash took place around 1:50 p.m. on West Lexington Avenue near the intersection with Emerywood Drive.
According to officer J.C. Weisner of the High Point Police Department, Madison Christine Myers, of Murrysville, PA, was driving 2o2o Hyundai southbound on Emerywood Drive when she tried to make a left turn onto West Lexington Avenue. Myers failed to yield the right of way and collided with a vehicle driven by Emily Lynn Madura. Both Madura and her passenger, Maranda Marie Patton, sustained injuries in the crash. Madura and Patton were taken by ambulance to High Point Regional Hospital. There is no word on the extent of their injuries or their conditions at this time. Myers was not injured in the accident. Police charged Myers with failing to yield the right of way.
