Zebulon, NC (February 5, 2021) – Police in Zebulon responded to a crash involving a log truck on Friday, February 5th. The crash happened on Highway 96 between Pippin Road and Riley Hill Road.
According to a report from the scene, a log truck overturned, causing dozens of logs to be strewn across the roadway. The events leading up to the crash are unclear at this time. Rescue workers also responded to the scene. There were reports of injuries sustained in the accident but, at this time, the nature and extent of the injuries are not clear. Police have not released the identities of those involved. Motorists in the area were asked to avoid the accident scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
