High Point, NC (February 12, 2021) – A woman from High Point sustained injuries in a two-car crash that happened on Thursday, February 11th. The accident was reported at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Surrettt Drive near the intersection with Fraley Road.
According to Officer J.C. Citronnelli with the High Point Police Department, Anthony Thomas Cook, of Trinity, arrived at the intersection of Surrett and Fraley. Cook tried to make a left turn from Fraley onto Surrett. As he turned, he failed to yield to an oncoming car driven by Saeed Ahmed, of High Point. The two vehicles collided in the roadway. A passenger in Ahmed’s vehicle, Rana Naheed, of High Point, was injured in the crash. The Guilford County EMS responded to the crash scene and transported Naheed to High Point Regional Hospital. The extent of her injuries is not known at this time. No one else was hurt in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing at this time and there is no word on potential charges. No further information is available.
