Winston-Salem, NC (February 25, 2021) – The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene of a pedestrian crash in the city on Thursday, February 25th. The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on Silas Creek Parkway near the intersection with Hanes Mall Boulevard and Hawthorne Road.
According to a report from the scene, the pedestrian was walking in or near the roadway when they were hit by a vehicle. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. The pedestrian’s injuries are not known at this time and the identity of the victim has not been released. There were no other injuries reported. It is not clear exactly how the crash took place or whether the driver will face any charges.
