Durham, NC (March 21, 2021) – A driver was taken to the hospital following a car accident in Durham on Saturday, March 20th. The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on Hardee Street near the intersection with Holloway Street.
The Durham Police Department was called to the scene shortly after the crash took place. Police say that an SUV and another vehicle were involved. Following the collision, the SUV went off the road before coming to rest. The driver of the SUV was injured and was transported to Duke Hospital by paramedics. The driver’s name and condition are not available at this time. The driver of the other vehicle involved was not hurt in the wreck.
Police have not released any information surrounding the cause of the crash at this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. The road was closed while police remained at the scene and passing motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel. An investigation into the incident is underway.
