Willow Spring, NC (April 11, 2021) – A man was injured after being involved in a tractor crash in Willow Spring. The accident happened on Saturday, April 10th on Old Stage Road.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the collision. According to troopers, a man was riding a tractor southbound on Old Stage Road. At the same time, a GMC Sierra was also traveling southbound on Old Stage. The Sierra driver attempting to pass the tractor but was blocked by an oncoming car. The Sierra then merged back into the southbound lanes. In the process of merging, it collided with the tractor.
The tractor driver, identified as a man in his 60s, was thrown from the vehicle and came to rest in a ditch. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the man to WakeMed Hospital for treatment of a head injury. The Sierra driver was not injured in the collision.
Troopers are still investigating the incident at this time. It is not clear whether any charges will be filed against the driver of the Sierra. There is no further information available.
