Winston-Salem, NC (April 20, 2021) – A man from Statesville suffered injuries in a car accident that took place in Winston-Salem on Sunday, April 18th. The crash occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. along Peters Creek Parkway near the intersection with Link Road.
Officer T. Fore of the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the accident scene. According to a report from Officer Fore, Nastasha Lownes, of Winston-Salem, was driving a 2018 Mercedes southbound on Peters Creek Parkway. Lownes attempted to enter a turn lane but then corrected her vehicle and tried to return to the straight lane. In the process of merging, the car collided with a 2018 Nissan driven by Jhonotan Esco-Barroldan of Statesville. Esco-Barroldan was injured in the crash and was taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries and his condition is not known at this time. Lownes was not hurt in the collision.
There is no additional information on any charges at this time. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
