Injury Accidents in North Carolina
When we get behind the wheel of a vehicle, we never expect to be involved in a car accident. Most people take for granted the dangers of being on the roadway. The truth is that a crash can happen in a split second and it can change your life and the life of your loved ones forever. In 2019, there were nearly 300,000 reported car accidents in North Carolina. This averages out to more than 800 reported crashes across our state every day. Although not all of these accidents will result in injuries, many of them will. In that same year, close to 90,000 people were hurt in North Carolina car accidents, many of them seriously.
If you were not at fault for the accident, you could have valuable legal rights. Under North Carolina law, a victim who is injured can seek recovery for their medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and possibly more. The large majority of car accidents across our state will be caused by the actions of a negligent driver. These drivers are prevalent every day on the road and their actions place others around them at risk of being seriously hurt or even killed in a car accident. If you were hurt by a negligent driver, you should not have to bear the financial burden of their mistakes and carelessness.
