Forsyth County, NC (April 26, 2021) – Police in Forsyth County responded to the scene of an injury accident on Sunday afternoon. The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. along U.S. Highway 421 near mile marker 221 and Macy Grove Road.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident. The crash resulted in the closure of U.S. 421 for approximately three hours while police worked at the crash scene. At least one person sustained injuries as a result of the accident. Their condition is not known at this time. There are no details surrounding the cause of the collision or the number of vehicles involved. The identity of the victim is not available. Motorists were advised to take I-40 West to exit 203 to avoid the scene. There is no word on whether any charges are expected.
