Cary, NC – Six Hurt in Crash on N.C. Highway 55

Cary, NC (May 20, 2021) – Four cars were involved in a crash that took place on North Carolina Highway 55 in Cary on Thursday, May 20th. The accident happened at the intersection with Wood Forest drive just after 4:00 p.m.

The Cary Police Department responded to the scene. According to officers, a total of six people were hurt in the collision. Two of the victims were transported with serious injuries. Four others sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. One person had to be extricated from a vehicle before being taken to a hospital. At this time, police have not released any information on the cause of the collision. Both directions of Highway 55 were closed while police investigated the accident. There is no word on whether any charges are expected at this time.
