Charlotte, NC (May 23, 2021) – Police in Charlotte responded to the scene of a deadly crash overnight on Saturday. The collision took place at approximately 3:00 a.m. in the 2000 block of West Boulevard.
According to officers, 40-year-old Antonio Bryant and 56-year-old Chevelle Jeter died at the crash scene. Officials say that Bryant and Jeter were traveling in a Honda Accord when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway to the right and crash into the woods where it came to rest. Following an initial investigation, authorities determined that both speed and impairment are believed to have played a role in the collision. There were no other vehicles involved and no additional injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the crash at this time and toxicology results are pending. There is no further information available.
