Of this number, there were about 80,000 reported injuries. Some common causes of North Carolina car accidents include speeding, reckless driving, distraction, impairment, and more. Many crashes affect innocent victims and can result in catastrophic injuries and even death.
North Carolina law provides compensation to victims who have been injured by the actions of a negligent driver. Injured victims can file a claim for compensation, including payment of their medical bills, pain and suffering, lost wages, and potentially more. Depending on the severity of the injuries, the potential recovery can be significant. Car accident victims should be sure to contact an attorney who can help make sure that their rights and protected and that they receive the settlement they deserve.
