Winston-Salem, NC (June 22, 2021) – Police in Winston-Salem responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on Monday, June 21st. The accident happened at the intersection of Akron Drive and Ogburn Avenue.
Police say that a total of three vehicles were involved in the collision. Rescue workers arrived at the scene after the crash and transported five people to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. There was a heavy police and emergency presence near the crash site. The intersection remained closed for several hours while police investigated and cleared debris. There is no word on the cause of the collision at this time. At least one of the victims suffered serious injuries but no one involved has been identified.
