Winston-Salem, NC (September 27, 2021) – A 54-year-old Winston-Salem woman was killed in a pedestrian crash that took place on Saturday night, September 25th. The accident occurred just after 8:00 p.m. in the 4700 block of Country Club Road.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, Misty Dozier was walking along Country Club Road when she was hit by a Hyundai Elantra. The Elantra driver was identified as a 67-year-old Winston-Salem woman. Emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene and administered first aid to Dozier, who was later pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. The Hyundai driver remained at the scene and spoke with the police. She has not been identified at this time.
An investigation is ongoing. Officers have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed. Anyone with any information on the collision is asked to contact the Winston-Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
