Princeton, NC (December 14, 2021) – A 10-year-old child was killed in a crash that took place in Princeton on Monday, December 13th. The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. along US Highway 70 near Donnie H. Jones Jr. Boulevard.
According to the Princeton Police Department, a large SUV was traveling westbound on US 70 while a smaller SUV was traveling eastbound on the same road. The driver of the smaller SUV tried to make a left turn and was hit by the larger SUV. A 10-year-old child in the smaller SUV was killed in the accident. An 8-year-old and 15-year-old passenger in the vehicle were taken to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
None of the victims have been identified at this time. There is no further information available. The accident remains under investigation.
