Garner, NC (April 8, 2022) – Police in Garner responded to the scene of a serious car accident on Wednesday, April 6th. The crash happened just after 9:00 a.m. on Taylor Drive near Rand Road Elementary.
According to police, two vehicles were involved in the accident. One car was badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Both directions of the roadway were closed following the accident. At least one person was transported from the accident scene and taken to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur.
Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel as the road remained closed for more than an hour following the collision. An investigation is ongoing at this time.
