North Carolina Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcycle riding is a popular activity in North Carolina. With a temperate climate and a variety of scenery, many riders enjoy going out on their bikes on a regular basis throughout our state. Although riding a motorcycle can be an enjoyable activity and hobby, motorcycles also carry great risks. Each year, hundreds of people are hurt or killed in motorcycle crashes that take place across our state. Riders are offered almost no protection from the force and impact of a crash. This often results in catastrophic injuries when a motorcycle collides with a car or another larger vehicle.
Motorcycle accidents tend to happen very suddenly and unexpectedly. Police must carefully investigate the crash to determine how it occurred and who should be held responsible. In a large number of motorcycle collisions, the accident occurs because of the negligence of at least one person. Often, the driver of the other vehicle is at fault because they failed to yield or failed to see a motorcycle before it was too late.
