Cleveland County, NC (June 13, 2020) – A 28-year-old woman was killed following a hit-and-run incident on N.C. 150 in Cleveland County.
According to the State Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Stacey Ball of Kings Mountain wast traveling westbound on N.C. 150 near Shelby when a silver vehicle attempted to pass her. Ball’s vehicle was forced off of the roadway by the second vehicle. Her car struck a tree and caught on fire.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene and extricated Ball, her infant child, and her niece. The infant and Ball’s niece were taken to Atrium Health. Ball died at the scene of the crash.
Troopers are looking for a 2010s model silver Honda Civic in connection to the crash.
