Wilmington, NC (July 27, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place in Wilmington on Wednesday, July 27th. The crash occurred just before 3:00 p.m. on Carolina Beach Road near Shipyard Boulevard.
According to a report from authorities, a utility truck rear-ended a pickup truck, causing the pickup truck to collide with a utility post. The utility truck then swerved and struck a tree before both vehicles came to rest. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. There is no word on their conditions at this time. Police are still investigating the accident and have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed. The victims have not been identified.
