Fatal Car Accidents in North Carolina
There is nothing more devastating than the loss of a loved one in a car accident. In North Carolina, approximately 1,500 lives are lost every year in crashes that take place on our state’s roadways. These accidents are caused due to a number of reasons but most involve negligent drivers who are not obeying traffic laws or basic safety regulations when the crash occurs. This includes speeding, reckless driving, distraction, impairment, and more. The actions of these drivers can claim the lives of other motorists on the roadway or result in serious injuries.
If you or a family member have been the victim of someone else’s negligence on our state’s roadways, you need an attorney whom you can trust to protect your legal rights. North Carolina law affords victims and family members certain legal rights if the other driver was at fault for the crash. This includes the right to file a claim for reimbursement of lost wages, pain and suffering, love and companionship, medical bills, and possibly more. Each case must be evaluated on its own merits by a skilled lawyer who can help to determine your legal rights based on your specific situation.
