Graham, NC (August 9, 2022) – One person was seriously hurt after a crash that took place in Graham on Tuesday, August 9th. The accident was reported around 10:40 a.m. on North Carolina Highway 54 near East Harden Street and Pravas Lane.
According to the Graham Police Department, the moped and a vehicle were both traveling southeast on Highway 54 when the two vehicles collided with one another. A rescue squad was dispatched to the scene. The injured moped rider was airlifted to a local hospital where they were treated for serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries. Police are still determining the cause of the accident at this time. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor. The identities of those involved have not been released.
An investigation is ongoing. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
