Fatal Accidents in North Carolina
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, there are about 1,500 fatalities reported on our state’s roadways each year. The number of fatalities has remained relatively steady in recent years, although there was a recent spike in reported deadly accidents. Many serious and fatal collisions involve commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks and construction vehicles. These vehicles are larger and heavier than traditional passenger cars. Consequently, the impact of a collision can be far greater.
