Fatal Accidents in North Carolina
A North Carolina car accident can be a traumatic and stressful experience. The crash itself can result in catastrophic injuries and even death for the victims. Additionally, family members are left behind to deal with the fallout from the accident. If your loved one was killed in a crash that was not their fault, the pain can be unbearable. According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, approximately 1,500 people lose their lives in crashes on our state’s roadways every year. Since 2020, this number has been on the rise with more people, unfortunately, being killed due to North Carolina car accidents.
When a collision takes place, police must carefully investigate the accident and all of the surrounding circumstances. The purpose of this investigation is to determine who caused the crash and which driver should be held responsible. If your loved one was not at fault for the accident, you could have certain legal rights. It is very important to speak with an attorney as soon as possible in order to understand what you can do to protect your rights and to maximize your recovery during this time.
