Winston-Salem, NC (September 9, 2022) – Police in Winston-Salem responded to the scene of an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Thursday, September 8th. The accident happened on Peters Creek Parkway at the intersection with Fishel Road.
According to a report from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a Honda CRV was traveling on Fishel Road when the driver turned onto Peters Creek Parkway. As the driver CRV driver was turning, they failed to yield to an oncoming motorcycle, causing a collision between the two vehicles. The rider was thrown from his bike and was then rushed to Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health for treatment. The driver of the CRV was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Neither of the two motorists were identified by police.
Following an investigation, officers charged the CRV driver with failure to yield. There is no further information available.
