Apex, NC (December 19, 2020) – One person suffered injuries in a car accident that occurred in Apex on Tuesday, December 15th. The crash happened on State Road 1145, near State Road 1160 at approximately 3:20 p.m.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was called to the crash scene. According to a report filed by authorities, Jakin Burk, of Apex, was driving a 2006 Toyota southbound on SR 1145 when her vehicle collided with a 2005 Toyota driven by Jennifer Joann McGovern, Garner. McGovern suffered unspecified injuries as a result of the crash. Cary EMS units responded to the scene and treated McGovern for her injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening. Burk was not hurt in the crash.
At this time, troopers have not released any details surrounding the cause of the collision. There were no other injuries reported. No additional details are available.
