Benson, NC (November 29, 2021) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian on Monday, November 29th. The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Interstate 95 near exit 79.
According to police, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the roadway. The pedestrian was walking near the road when they were struck by an unidentified vehicle. The driver remained at the scene following the collision. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
