Burlington, NC (February 7, 2021) – A 50-year-old Gibsonville woman was hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Burlington on Friday afternoon. The crash was reported around 5:30 p.m in the PVA of University Commons at 1449 University Drive.
The Burlington Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to officers, Anna Meyers was walking through the parking lot when she was hit by a red pickup truck. The driver of the pickup fled the scene following the collision. Rescue workers arrived and transported Myers to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill where she was listed in stable condition.
The Burlington Police Department is investigating the incident and is actively searching for the driver of the pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the BPD at 336-229-3500. Individuals can also call the Alamance County Crime Stoppers at 336-229-7100.
