Burlington, NC (July 7, 2022) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a deadly car accident on Thursday, July 7th. The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. on North Carolina Highway 87 near the intersection with Hillview Farm Road.
According to a report from officials, there were two vehicles involved in the accident. One person died as a result of the accident. There is no information on what caused the collision to occur and it is unclear whether any other injuries occurred. The road was closed for about four hours while officials investigated the accident. Motorists were asked to avoid the area and to find alternate routes of travel if possible. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the accident.
