Burlington, NC (January 15, 2021) – A Burlington police officer was hurt in a two-vehicle crash that took place as he was responding to a call on Thursday, January 14th. The accident happened at approximately 12:30 p.m. on North Church Street near the intersection with West Holt Street.
According to authorities, the officer received an emergency call and proceeded through the intersection with his lights and siren activated. As he traveled through the intersection, his police cruiser was involved in a crash with another vehicle. Both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Neither driver has been identified at this time and there is no word on the details surrounding the crash.
