Cary, NC (February 16, 2021) – Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of a car accident in Cary on Monday, February 15th. The accident took place around 6:00 p.m. on Interstate 40 westbound just west of the North Harrison Avenue exit.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. When troopers arrived, they discovered several vehicles involved in the accident. There is no word at this time on the cause of the crash. Rescue officials also responded and provided medical assistance to the injured victims. There is no information on the nature or extent of the injuries sustained. Motorists were urged to use caution in the area due to heavy congestion resulting from the crash. The road remained partially closed until about 7:30 p.m.
