Cary, NC (August 18, 2022) – Officials in Cary were called to the scene of a deadly crash on Thursday morning, August 18th. The accident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40.
Police report that a single vehicle was involved in the crash. A total of seven people were in the car at the time of the collision, including four children. An adult occupant of the car died at the crash scene. Six others were treated at a local hospital for undisclosed injuries. Police and rescue crews worked at the scene for several hours while an investigation was conducted. During that time, drivers were advised to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. There are no further details on how the accident took place.
