Charlotte, NC (May 26, 2020) – The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal crash on Tuesday, May 26th. The collision took place in the 5000 block of North Tryon Street.
According to officials, one person suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. The street was temporarily closed in both directions after the crash took place. Police were on scene for several hours conducting an investigation. There are no further details regarding the cause of the accident and it is unclear if anyone else was hurt.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
