Charlotte, NC (July 9, 2020) – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a car accident with injuries on Thursday night. Officials were called to the scene on N. Church Street near the intersection with W. 5th Street around 8:30 p.m.
At this time, there are reports that at least one person suffered injuries in the crash. There is no update on the nature or extent of the injuries suffered. Both emergency rescue crews and officers were on the scene investigating and assisting the injured victims. Officials have not released any details on the cause of the crash. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes of travel.
