Charlotte, NC – Police Respond to Injury Crash on John Belk Freeway

Charlotte, NC (August 23, 2020) – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries in the city on Sunday, August 23rd. The crash took place on the John Belk Freeway near East Third Street just after 3:00 a.m.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after the crash reportedly occurred. When they arrived, police located at least one victim suffering from unknown injuries as a result of the accident. Rescue and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to render medical aid to the injured victim. There is no word on the victim’s condition at this time. Authorities have not released any information on the cause of the crash at this time nor have they released the identities of those involved in the accident.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time. No additional information is available.
